General Info

ABOUT BJDS IN GENERAL;
First of all; the ultimate place to find out about these dolls is Den of Angels, a forum dedicated to the dolls themselves.
These dolls are called BJDs or sometimes ABJDs as a short from Asian Ball Jointed Dolls. They are highly customiseble with changable eyes, wigs and so on.
They are made of resin and have joints to able them to be posed wery human-like.
You can find list of companies producting these dolls from Den of Angels I mentioned above.

The dolls shown in photos of this blog belong to me unless othervice stated. I do not make these dolls, but am just one of the many collectors world wide.
I do, however, customize these dolls myself to represent the original characters of mine.

Yes, it is common practise of the owner of these dolls to personifise them to represent characters (the owner's own, or sometimes favourite characters from movies, manga etc).
This makes these dolls very personal, and they are not in any way cheap mass-producted toys.
They are casted by hand by artists who actually make living from that.

These dolls are works of art icluding many artistic pursuits like photographing, sewing, painting and customisations, modifications and story-writing. And the list goes on and on.
Many say they are creative outlet spanning across the mediums.

Fair warning tho; hardly anyone who has started collecting has stopped on one -or two- dolls.

ABOUT MY DOLLS;
Most of my dolls are male, although there are few exeptions.
They represent characters in my fictional, but original stories that all take place in the fictional world of Talais, which I also have created. You can read more of my non-doll characters and the world itself here in my other blog.
All the resemblance between my dolls&characters and real people (living, dead or in-between) is purely coincidental.

ABOUT MY PHOTOS&ART;
I take my photos with Canon DIGITAL Ixus 75.
You can see more photos and art by me in my deviantart.
All the photos and artwork posted are © to me.
